Is an electronic signature on a PDF legally binding?
In many jurisdictions, yes. In the United States the ESIGN Act and UETA give electronic signatures the same legal standing as handwritten ones. In the EU, eIDAS regulations recognise them for most document types. Certain documents such as wills or notarised deeds may still require a handwritten signature — always verify requirements for your specific use case.
Is my document secure when processed by Aservus?
Yes. Your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection, processed on our secure server to embed your signature, and then immediately and permanently deleted. We do not store, read, or share your documents.
Can I draw, type, or upload my signature?
All three are available. The Draw tab lets you sign with your mouse or touchscreen. The Type tab converts your name into a signature using professional script fonts. The Upload tab lets you import a photo of your existing handwritten signature.
Can I add text and dates as well as a signature?
Yes. Use the Text button to add typed content anywhere on the page — names, addresses, or form answers. Use the Date button to insert today's date. All elements can be dragged into position before you download.
Can I change the ink color?
Yes. In the Draw tab you can toggle between black and blue ink before drawing your signature, to match the convention required by your document type.
